Progetti d’impresa (translatable as “Business Projects”) is the information and guidance centre for business creation of the Metropolitan City of Bologna. Its mission is to encourage and promote the creation and development of new business activities.

Progetti d’impresa has a front office which offers many services:

– support in the development of the business idea and to the feasibility check, through personalized consulting to users for the development of the concept, also through tailor-made assistance in business plan drafting;

– information on the main bureaucratic requirements and obligations to be met in order to start a business activity;

– support in the search and identification of funding and contributions consistent with the business idea;

– training and in-depth study of theoretical and practical aspects related to business management;

– economic animation on the metropolitan territory through conferences, seminars, meetings and workshops aimed at spreading the entrepreneurial culture.

Progetti d’impresa was born in 1989 within the former Province of Bologna, which in recent years has undergone a transformation set by the national Italian law Delrio. Today, the former Province of Bologna is the Metropolitan city of Bologna, which has, among other objectives, the promotion of the economic development of the metropolitan area, which includes 55 municipalities. The service has its headquarter in Bologna and is supported by a network of 8 territorial branches located throughout the metropolitan area.

Progetti d’impresa has many different local partners: ASTER – the consortium for innovation and technology transfer of Emilia-Romagna, ROP ERDF Emilia-Romagna Network, the Chamber of Commerce of Bologna, Incredibol  – a project started in 2010 to promote creative and cultural activities in the Emilia-Romagna region, Demetra and Futura, service providers for work, entrepreneurship and training.

Progetti d’impresa also promotes the “Barresi Award”, a prize addressed to young entrepreneurs who are committed in fostering sustainable entrepreneurship. The prize is dedicated to the memory of Antonio Barresi, the supervisor of the Progetti d’impresa who unfortunately disappeared in 2015.
