Dritter Deutscher Social Entrepreneurship Monitor 2020/21

Since 2018, the German Social Entrepreneurship Monitor (DSEM) has provided annual information on the German social entrepreneurship ecosystem. It aims to provide decision-makers from politics, business and civil society with a basis for supporting social enterprises.


Der Deutsche Social Entrepreneurship Monitor wird vom SEND e.V. veröffentlicht und ist die Datengrundlage zu Potenzialen, Bedürfnissen und Herausforderungen von Social Entrepreneurs.

Neben konventionellen Kennzahlen, wie Organisationsgröße und Umsatzhöhe, erhebt er spezifische Daten, die für das Ökosystem relevant sind, z.B. Wahl der Wirkungsmodelle, Arten der Governance, Daten zu Gemeinnützigkeit oder Anzahl von ehrenamtlichen Mitarbeiter:innen. Seit 2020 ist der DSEM eingebunden in das von EUCLID Network geleitete und durch die Europäische Kommission finanzierte European Social Enterprise Monitor.

Deutsche Sozialunternehmen zeigen Wege aus der Coronakrise

Um die Potentiale, Bedürfnisse und Herausforderungen von Social Entrepreneurs besser zu verstehen, haben wir Sozialunternehmer:innen nach dem Status ihrer Organisation befragt. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, selbst unter den schweren Bedingungen der Corona-Krise verbreiten Sozialunternehmen ihre Wirkung. Für viele Menschen lindern sie gar die Probleme, die durch die Krise entstanden sind und leisten in der andauernden Pandemie einen wichtigen Beitrag für die Gesellschaft.

I am an independent digital media consultant, focussing on Crowdfunding for the creative industries in Austria and Germany. I consulted more than 100 projects, wrote numerous articles on the topic and I am active as a speaker and workshop host. I am running consulting and information portal www.Crowdfunding-Service.com and publish a monthly Crowdfunding newsletter. Together with my colleague Karsten Wenzlaff from the Berlin based Institut für Kommunikation in Sozialen Medien (ikosom) I published “The (almost) complete guidebook to Crowdfunding for SME’s” as part of the project CrowdFundPort. During his media studies at Vienna University I worked as a film critic and journalist. I am a passionate web user and always on the hunt for the latest trends in Social Media and Digital Communication. I am also working for the CREATIVE REGION Linz & Upper Austria as project manager. Additionally I am supporting a few start-ups and SME's in terms of press relations.
