VOLABO – the Volunteer Service Center of the Metropolitan City of Bologna
VOLABO is the Volunteer Service Center (VSC) of the Metropolitan City of Bologna.
In Italy, the Volunteer Service Centers aim to provide technical, training and information support to promote and strengthen the presence and role of volunteers in the various entities of the Third Sector.
VOLABO is the Volunteer Service Center (VSC) of the Metropolitan City of Bologna.
The service is managed by the Association for the Development of Volunteering, a non-profit, autonomous and pluralist association with solidarity and social utility purposes, currently composed of 73 associations and of which voluntary organizations and other bodies of the Third sector.
The Volunteer Service Centers, reformed in Italy by the new Third Sector law, are aimed at providing technical, training and information support to promote and strengthen the presence and role of volunteers in the various Third Sector entities.
VOLABO adheres to the values of Italian and European volunteering and provides its services mainly to Third Sector Entities operating in the Metropolitan City of Bologna. The recipients of the services and activities are: volunteers, aspiring volunteers, voluntary organizations and other third sector bodies, citizens. The services are also designed and provided in collaboration with public bodies, schools, universities, research institutes, companies, and others.
The services performed fall into the following areas of intervention:
– promotion, orientation and territorial animation
– training
– advice, qualified assistance and accompaniment
– information and communication
– research and documentation
– logistic technical support
VOLABO has always invested in social reporting and transparency actions for its activities. Every year it publishes its financial statements and social reports.
